Day 2 - Beijing   (B, L, D)

Visits : Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Beijing Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven

This morning you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. In the afternoon take a visit to the best-preserved and largest-scaled royal garden in China--Summer Palace, followed by a visit to the Temple of Heaven, which is one of the landmarks of Beijing. This evening you will watch Kungfu performance. At last, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3 - Beijing -> Xian   (B, L, D)

Visits : The Great Wall of China, Sacred Road of The Ming Tombs

Today we drive towards northwest to visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of urban Beijing city in Yanqing County, which is within the Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location´s strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou, approximately 0.63 miles (1,015 m) above sea level. This afternoon drive to the burial site of 13 Ming dynasty emperors. You will visit Dingling and walk along the Sacred Road. Tonight enjoy a Duck Dinner at the original, century-old Quanjude Roasted Duck Restaurant. Then you will transferred to Beijing railway station and take an overnight train to Xian.

It is a nationwide franchised restaurant. It has interesting name and unique décor. Fish Head Pot is its house specialty; the price is depends on the size of the fish head. Its other dishes are also delicious.

Quanjude is a time-honored restaurant for Beijing Roast Duck which is well known to all for its delicious taste.

Day 4 - Xian   (B, L, D)

Visits : City Wall, The Big Wild Goose Pagoda

After breakfast go to Xian City Wall - one of the best preserved in China. In the afternoon visit Shaanxi History Museum, which is one of the first huge state museums in China with over 300,000 items being exhibited. Then visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It is the most influential temple in Xian. In the evening, you will enjoy Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing performance.
 
(Re:Upon arrival, the local guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to your hotel. Early check-in is not guaranteed especially during peak seasons. If there are no rooms available that early, you will begin your tour first.)

Considered as the priority when tourists come to Xian because it is famous for various local snacks with well-decorated atmosphere.
Lunch:Jia San Guan Tang Bao Zi Restaurant
The most famous of the Jia Brothers´ restaurants and the specialty dish is guantang baozi, with a choice of beef, lamb, or "three flavors" -- lamb, mushroom, and prawn.

Day 5 - Xian -> Shanghai   (B, L, D)

Visits : Terra-Cotta Warriors, The Bell and the Drum Tower, Great Mosque, Muslim Street(Huimin Street)

This morning visit the world famous Terra Cotta Warriors. It was discovered in 1974 and considered one of the eight wonders in the world. After having lunch visit the Great Mosque, the Muslim street and the Bell & Drum Tower Square. The mosque which was established in AD 742 in the Tang dynasty for Muslim traders from central Asian who settled in Xian. Then you will transferred to Xian railway station and take an overnight train to Shanghai.

Day 6 - Shanghai   (L)

The Bund

Visits : The Bund, Shanghai Old Street, Yuyuan Garden

After breakfast upon your arrival,the local guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the hotel. After having lunch move on to Yuyuan Garden and the Shanghai Old Street. The garden, built 450 years ago is considered by experts to be an exquisite sample of typical southern garden. Then the tour stops at Shanghai´s number one landmark - the Bund. In the afternoon, you will visit Shanghai Museum which is one of the four best museums in China. It houses a good many antiques including calligraphic works, ceramics, ethnic minorty costume, coins, seals, etc.

The restaurant is located No. 239 Shanxi South Road Huangpu District. It mainly serves Shanghai local dishes. It is popular among local people for its braised food.

Day 7 - Shanghai   (B, L)

Visits : Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Xintiandi Plaza

In the morning travel to Zhujiajiao water village. The picturesque Zhujiajiao is a classic water village, over 400 years old with a signature five-arch bridge spanning the Cao Gang River. After that, continue to visit Tianzifang in Taikang Road. It is the old area of Shanghai. It is considered a living museum of old Shanghai by many foreigners. It houses art galleries, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, etc. and is a great place for shopping and exploring. Compared to Xintiandi which offers similar activities, Tianzifang offers a more localized feel because it´s integrated with the existing nearby neighborhood with the exterior of Sikumen houses and the alleys preserved.
