Day 1 - Shanghai   (No meal included)

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the guide and be transferred to your hotel in the city center. The rest of the day will be free time on your own to have a good rest at the hotel room or go outside to explore the city.

Day 2 - Shanghai -> Huangshan   (B, L, D)

Visits : Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden

After breakfast take half day trip to Shanghai Museum. As one of the three most important museums in China, it has a big collection of bronze wares. After lunch you will visit Yuyuan Garden and explore the surrounding markers. Then you will pay a visit to the Bund, the landmark of Shanghai and have a walk on Nanjing Road, the most famous pedestrian street in Shanghai. Have dinner at a local restaurant and finally be transferred to the railway station and get on the train to Huangshan.

Day 3 - Huangshan   (L, D)

This morning you will arrive at Huangshan city. Be picked up at the railway station and you will be driven Mt. Huangshan Mountain. Take a cable car up to Yupinglou. Get off the car and you will start ascending the mountain. Today’s highlights are Banshan Temple, Tiandu Peak, the Guest-Greeting Pine, Ladder in the Clouds, Yixiantian (a narrow and steep passage way between two rocks), Guangming Peak, Flying Stone, and Paiyun Pavilion, etc. Banshan Temple is a Buddhist temple rebuilt in 1956. It consists of five rooms. In the middle is the main hall where Buddha is worshipped. The monks live in the rooms beside the hall. If you are interested in Chinese Buddhism, you may pray for blessings in front of the Buddha. Tiandu Peak is in the Southeast Huangshan. It has a natural cave on its top. Although Tiandu is not the highest peak, it is definitely the most majestic and splendid one in Huangshan Mountain. The Guest-Greeting Pine is named so due to the fact that the pine tree stretches out its branch as if it is welcoming the visitors. It must be the most famous pine tree in China. You can frequently see it in Chinese paintings. The hiking will take about 4 hours. Lunch and dinner will be served in the restaurants on the mountain.

Day 4 - Huangshan   (B, L, D)

Today you need to get up early to watch the sunrise amongst the clouds, a very beautiful sight. After enjoying the view of sunrise, you will go on hiking. The following highlights are Lion Peak, Qingliang Platform, Stone Monkey Viewing the Sea, and Shixin Peak, etc. Lion Peak is shaped like a lying lion. It has an elevation of 1690 meters. Qingliang Platform is a mountain-viewing platform where you can have a rest and enjoy mountain-view. Lunch and dinner will be served in the restaurants on the mountain.

Day 5 - Huangshan -> Shanghai   (B, L, D)

After breakfast, you will start hiking towards Danxia Peak, one of the 36 main peaks in Huangshan Mountain. It is a good place to watch sunrise and sunset. The peak features ochre cliff. When the sun leaves its glow on the cliff, it makes for a beautiful scene. Have a rest on the peak and enjoy the high altitude there. Please note lunch is not served today. So you are required to prepare some food and bring it along with you before you start the hiking. After that, you will start to descend the mountain. You will go through Xihai Valley. It is a deep valley amongst Shizhu Peak, Danxia peak, and Jiulong Peak. The valley is quite a challenging place for hiking. After dinner, be transferred to the railway station for the overnight train back to Shanghai.

Day 6 - Shanghai   (No meal included)

Arrive in Shanghai in the morning and be transferred to the hotel. Free day on your own.



Day 7 - Shanghai   (B)

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport and take flight back home.
