Emei Mountain which lies about 168km (about 104 miles) from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province is one of the four famous mountain ranges in China that Buddhists consider sacred. It was included in the UNESCO world heritage list in 1996. Since ancient times Emei Mountain has been described as "Beauty Under Heaven".

Mt. Emei Trekking Tour
Day 1 Arrive in Chengdu
Upon your arrival, your local English speaking tour guide will greet you and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2 Chengdu (B/L/D)Program today will absolutely be the very highlight of the trip. We are going to visit the lovely pandas in Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base. After lunch, One hour drive to Sanxindui Museum, which is about the brilliant civilization of Yangtze River upstream. Experience the spectacular 3000-year-old cultural relics of ancient Shu Kingdom.
Night Entertainment: Sichuan Opera and face-changing performance

Day 3 Chengdu - Leshan - Mt. Emei (B/L)
Drive for 130km (80.78 miles) to Leshan Grand Buddha scenic spot, take a boat ride to the center of Mingjiang River to have a best view of the Great Buddha. The Grand Buddha is 71 meters high, carved into a cliff face overlooking the confluence of the Dadu and Min rivers. After lunch, we will continue to have an hour's drive to Mt. Emei.

Day 4 Mt. Emei (B/L/D)
After breakfast, Visit Nation Dedicating Temple (Baoguosi), which was built in the 16th century, enlarged in the 17th century by Emperor Kangxi and recently renovated. Fuhu Temple ---"Crouching Tiger Monastery", as it is known in Chinese, is sunk in the forest. Inside is a seven-meter-high copper pagoda inscribed with Buddhist images and texts. Take a local green bus to Wannian Temple Parking Lot, and start trekking. You will not only visit the temple but also enjoy the amazing vegetarian lunch cooked by the monks. After lunch continue trekking 1.5km (0.93 miles) to Qingyinge Temple.

Day 5 Mt. Emei (B/L/D)
Keep on trekking today. Passing the 5 km-long Heart Watching Hill, you will be at Calming House. On the journey from Calming House to Elephant-Bathing Pool, there are the scenic spots of Zhanglao Terrace, Chu Hall, Huayan Summit, Jiuling Mountain and Zuantian Slope. Overnight in the Guesthouse near Elephant-Bathing Pool. Have a good relaxation and Enjoy a tranquil night here, because you are on the half of Emei Mt. The wild monkeys might give you a lovely surprise! On the other hand,they might well be aggressive and steal right out of your bag if you happen to open it in front of them. But if you act humble and show them your empty hands,they are also smart enough.

Day 6 Mt. Emei (B/L/D)
Today you will continue trekking to Golden Peak. At the Leidongping Temple there is a cable car going to the top of the mountain. Hiking on foot from here takes another 2 hours. The route to the summit crosses a lush and diverse landscape with enchanted rock formations,waterfalls and narrow gorges. If the weather cooperates, the vista is divine at the 3077m high Golden Peak. This is the place to relax,meditate and enjoy the sunset.

Day 7 Mt. Emei - Chengdu (B/L)Get up early to enjoy the beautiful sunrise which is one of the four spectacles of Mt. Emei and China's lengendary experiences. Back to Leidong Ground parking lot, and then take bus to the Traffic Center on the foot of the Mt. Emei. Change to board our private car, take another 2.5 hours drive back to Chengdu.

Day 8 Departure from Chengdu (B)
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
