Visits : The Great Wall of China
Today we drive towards northwest to visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall. Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of urban Beijing city in Yanqing County, which is within the Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou, approximately 0.63 miles (1,015 m) above sea level. In the afternoon pay a visit to Changling, one of the thirteen Ming Tombs. It is the tomb of Zhu Di, the third emperor of Ming Dynasty.
Visits : Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven
After enjoying your breakfast you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here. Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. In the afternoon you will visit the Temple of Heaven where emperors conducted religious rituals and prayed for good harvest in Qing and Ming dynasties. It is one of the most important landmarks of Beijing.
Visits : Beijing Summer Palace
This morning visit the Summer Palace, which used to be a summer resort of Empress Dowager Cixi. It is mainly dominated by Longevity Hill (60 meters high) and the Kunming Lake. It covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometers, three quarters of which is water. After lunch enjoy a half day free at leisure.
Then you will transfered to Beijing railway station and take an overnight train to Xian.
Visits : Great Mosque
After enjoying your breakfast pay a visit to Shaanxi History Museum, which is one of the first huge state museums with modern facilities in China with over 300,000 items. In the afternoon pay a visit to the Great Mosque which stands on the Muslim Street, a famous food street in Xian.
Visits : Terra-Cotta Warriors, The Big Wild Goose Pagoda
Today visit the world famous Terra Cotta Warriors. It was discovered in 1974 and considered one of the eight wonders in the world. After lunch enjoy a leisure visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the most important historical sites in Xian. Then you will transfered to Xian railway station and take an overnight train to Shanghai.
Visits : Yuyuan Garden, The Bund, Jade Buddha Temple
This morning you will will visit Yuyuan Garden, an age-old garden where you can get a close touch with Chinese traditional architecture. City God Temple is just near around which worth visiting. In the afternoon switch to Jade Buddha Temple a best-known Buddhist temple in Shanghai.This temple is famous for two rare jade statues of Buddha and collection of the Buddhist Books and Records.Then stroll along the Bund.The Bund symbolizes Shanghai and Bund is an epitome of Shanghai's history.
Visits : Humble Administrator Garden, Garden of the Master of the Nets(Wang Shi Garden)
This morning head for the railway station and take a safe, fast and comfortable train ride to Suzhou. After that, enjoy your time in Humble Administrator's Garden, the most beautiful garden in China. After lunch take the tour to Master of the Nets Garden, which is one of the most beautiful Chinese traditinal garden-style architectural complex. Then take a short cruise over the Grand Cannal, which used to be the most important over-water connection between the north and south of China.
After enjoying your breakfast take a scenic bus ride to Luzhi, a historic water village with bueatiful landscapes and simple life style. Located to the east of Suzhou, it is a good place to escape the hustle and bustle of big cities. In the afternoon head for the railway station and take a safe, fast and comfortable train ride to Shanghai.
