This morning you will be driven to Lu Gu Lake. It is 203 km away from Lijiang. At the lake area the main inhabitants are Mosuo minorities, which is famous as still a matrilineal society. In Mosuo households, women are the head of the house and property is passed through the female line. There is no traditional marriage in Mosuo society. You will stop over at Ninglang County for lunch. enjoy a panoramic view of the lake on the observation terrace. Then take a boat ride over the lake on a trough-shape boat. Get on Liwubi Isle, which is the biggest isle in the lake. You will visit Liwubi Monastery. It is a Tibetan Buddhist temple of the yellow sect. After that, go visit the tomb of a lord who had governed Lugu Lake and the surrounding areas in the past for years. Then take a distant look at the Holy Gemu Mountain, also known as Loin Mountain. Gemu refers to the Goddess of White in Mosuo language. Each year on July 25 of Chinese lunar calendar, the Mosuo people hold a sacrificial ceremony to show respect to the Goddess. The tradition has been kept for more than a thousand years. At night, we recommend an optional campfire evening. The cost will be on your own.

Visits : Jade Dragon Snow Mountain

This morning you will visit Dongba Valley. It is a minority village where variety of ethnical culture is presented to travelers. After the visit, be transferred to the foot of Jade Dragon Mountain. Take a cable car to the mountain top. Enjoy an aerial view of the surrounding areas. Then take a cable car down and move on to visit Baishui River, and Ganhaizi, a beautiful grassland to the east of the mountain. Finally, be transferred back to Lijiang.
