It is believed that more than 80 pecent of the giant pandas remaining alive now live in and around Sichuan province. The lovely pandas live on bamboo and are now attracting more and more visitors and they make Sichuan well-known as the Hometown of Giant Pandas.

Sanxingdui Museum, as one of China´s top 50 valuable places for foreigners to visit, displays historical remainings left by people who lived in the area from 4800 to 2800 years ago. It is said that Sanxingdui Museum is near an archaeological site that dates back to the Neolithic, Shang and Zhou periods.
