Description :Leshan is located in southwest China in the Sichuan Province. The name Leshan means "Pleased with the Place". Leshan, known as Jiazhou in ancient time, has a history of 3000 years. This old and developing Leshan city is very beautiful with the three rivers of Minjiang, Gingyi and Dadu converging within its confines.

Day 1 - Chengdu -> Le Shan -> Chengdu (L)

This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel in downtown Chengdu. Then you will pay a visit to Leshan City. It takes about 2 hours to go from Chengdu to Leshan. When you arrive in Leshan, have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, take a short cruise over the river in front of the Giant Buddha. You can have a panoramic view at it. After the cruise, go up to the mountain to closely watch it. The construction of the Buddha was started in 713 A.D. and finished in 803 B.D. The construction took totally 90 years. The Buddha is 71 meters high. Its head is 14.7 meters high, 10 meter wide. It is very huge. Then be transferred back to downtown Chengdu.
