Nicolas Jones says:

We gathered at the front gate with our tour guide on a very cold day in Beijing. Even though it was cold, the day was clear. December is the time to travel to China as we had many a blue sky during our visit. We joined the rest of the tourists piling in to see what was behind these walls and we huddled around our guide to listen to a very long history lesson on the very old building. The Forbidden City is gigantic. It would be cool to go several times as opposed to one very long visit. I think it would give a person time to absorb all the history and architecture.

Angela Corrias says:

It’s not possible to visit every room of the Forbidden City in a day, but walking around its wide corridors, through its countless red gates, visiting the most important halls and gardens, gives an idea of how life was within those walls, charming, luxurious and cruel.
