Day 1 - Beijing (L)

Visits : Temple of Heaven, Yonghegong Lama Temple, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square

This morning, by Line 5, ride to Tiantan Station for Temple of Heaven, a site for the emperors to offer sacrifices to heaven during the Ming Dynasty; again to take Line 5 northward for Lama Temple, the most impressive Buddhist temple and the largest and best-preserved lamasery of Yellow Sect in Beijing.Then, have a walk along the famous Chengxian Street (some part is also called Guozijian Jie), Walking along it west till enter to the commercial road,the Andingmennei Dajie, turn right (west) and walk to the Drum Tower. Following, go to Shichahai area for Hutong Tour by rickshaw. Your lunch will be arranged at a local family.

In the afternoon you will visit Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Covering 440,000 square meters, it has witnessed many important historic events taking place here.
Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. The grand palaces & courtyards, the unique design as well as the valuable collections attract millions of people to admire.
