Then pay a visit to the Forbidden City, one of the five most famous palaces in the world where 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties lived and ruled for over 500 years. This afternoon take a tour in Beihai Park, a best-preserved imperial garden with a history of 1,000 years, and take a hutong tour exploring the lanes and courtyard houses unique to Beijing.
