You will transfered to Luoyang railway station and take an overnight train to Luoyang.
Visits : Longmen Grottoes
This morning take one and a half hours' drive to Shaolin Temple for a visit. It was here that Indian monk Bodhidarma stayed and taught the idea of Dyana (Zen) to his disciples. The temple is famous for its martial art - Kungfu as well. After lunch you will visit the graveyard of the temple, where a lot of tower-style tombs are set there. Then enjoy a free walk around. There are many Kungfu training schools there. After having lunch pay a visit to Longmen Grottoes, one of the three most important Buddhism grottoes in China. There are 2345 caves and niches, 2800 inscriptions, 43 pagodas and over 100,000 Buddhist images at the site. 30% of the caves date from the Northern Wei Dynasty, 60% from the Tang Dynasty, and caves from other periods less than 10%. It is the most impressive collection of Chinese art from these dynasties, which represents the zenith of stone carving in China. Then you will transfered to Luoyang railway station and take an overnight train to Beijing.
