Visits : Marco Polo Bridge in Beijing (Lugou Bridge)

This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel at around 8:00 am, then be transferred to Marco Polo Bridge. After lunch,you will switch to the Jietaisi Temple which is located at Ma'anshan (Saddle Hill) in the Western Hills, 35 kilometers west of Beijing. After visiting Jietaisi Temple, you will finish your fabulous day and our guide will transfer you back to your hotel.

Marco Polo Bridge (Lugou Bridge):

Originally built in 1192, Marco Polo Bridge (Lugou Brigdge) is an eleven arched bridge."Lugou Xiao Yue" which means "The Moon over the Lugou Bridge at dawn". 485 stone lions adorn the 235 meter bridge, but no two lions are exactly the same. At both ends of the bridge stand imperial steles - large stone slabs with historic calligraphic writing. One stele is an inscription by Qing emperor Qianlong and the other marks the rebuilding of the bridge.

Jietaisi Temple:

Jietaisi Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty (622), and was known as the Wisdom Accumulation Temple. The temple is commonly known as Jietaisi, Ordination Terrace Temple or "the place for selecting Buddha".
