Day 1 - Shanghai   (D)

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the guide and be transferred to your hotel in the city center.

Day 2 - Shanghai   (B, L, D)

Jinmao Building

Visits : Jinmao Building, Shanghai Xintiandi Plaza

After enjoying your breakfast you will first visit the Jinmao Building in Pudong District, the 7th tallest building on earth.

The Chinese national pavilion is the largest of its kind at the Expo and most expensive. The China Pavilion, also known as the Oriental Crown, represents the spirit of the people of China and showcases a variety of sustainable building practices ranging from passive design to rainwater harvesting.

Then you enter a small cable car and guided by house music you are thrilled with colorful lightbeams, waving puppets and suddenly disappearing movie screens. Strange as it may sound, it is rather enjoyable and an efficient way to get across the Huangpu River.

In the afternoon wander in the former French Concession and visit old street wonder of Shanghai-Tian Zi Fang Center.You will find that the place is dotted with fascinating old local Shikumen Houses which form part of Shanghai's folk identity.Life goes on in a slow and easy pace in Tian Zi Fang, and in no time you will find yourself engrossed in its rather homely spirit.

After a drive along the former French Concession District, characterized by beautiful, tree-lined streets and weathered European architecture, you will finally be able to stretch your legs in the hottest new entertainment district, Xin Tian Di. The brick buildings on these two-square blocks have been preserved and transformed into trendy clubs, restaurants and boutiques.

You will have time on your own here, or can go back to your hotel.

Stop at Shikumen Open House Museum.For every Shanghai resident, the word "Wulixiang" warms the heart. Over 70% of Shanghai residents were born and raised in Shikumen houses. However, Shikumen are now fast disappearing. The Shikumen "Wulixiang" Exhibition Hall in Xintiandi offers us a chance to cherish the memories of old Shanghai and recall past events.

At night, our trip starts with an evening cruise on the Huangpu River, which divides the Bund into two sections, Pu Dong and Pu Xi, which mean 'east of river' and 'west of river' respectively. Local people honor the Huangpu as Mother River, and as you view the lights and spectacle from the deck of your evening cruise, you will understand why.

After breakfast classic sights from the Ming and Qing dynasties, when you visit the enchanting Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Old Street. The garden covers a significant space and includes many halls, springs and other buildings of interest. The visit brings you back to Ming Dynasty (A.D. 1368-1644).

In the afternoon be transferred to the railway station for the train to Hangzhou.

Today begin today's tour with Tai Chi practice around China Tea Museum.

Then our tour will start from Meijiawu Tea Plantation.Hangzhou as a birthplace of the best green tea Dragon Well Tea in China has its long history of tea culture. You will visit the farmer tea plantation yourself to be close to the natural tea trees,you can even go to tea farmers house to talk to them and have a cup of Dragon Well Green Tea. The lunch will be served in the farmer house or a restaurant nearby.

In the afternoon we process to Lingyin temple.Commonly translated as "Temple of the Soul's Retreat",it is one of the largest and wealthiest temples in China. It was originally founded in 326 AD, but has been rebuilt no less than sixteen times since then. The current buildings are modern restorations of late Qing buildings. The hillside to the south of the temple is also famous as a site of old Buddhist caves and rock carvings.

West Lake

This morning continue your Taichi practice in the park of Liu Lang Wen Ying, which means Orioles singing in the willows.

After having lunch tour around the famous West Lake by cruise.The West lake scenic area is half by the mountains and half by the city downtown. After that,we will go to visit the Former Residence of Huxueyan. Hu Xueyan (1823-1885), a local celebrity, one of the richest and most famous businessmen in Qing Dynasty. He started his business under the support of Governor Wang Youling, in the fields as food, real estate, hock, weapon, silk, medicine; after his success, he donated much money and helped a lot to the Qing government. Because of this relationship, Hu was renowned in the country and was called Hongding merchant. His legendary life was mostly related with the destiny of late Qing dynasty. Nest, we go to Huqingyutang Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum.It was founded by a famous Qing Dynasty official businessman, named Hu Xueyan. It is a court 鈥搒tyle pharmacy featured building in typical architectural style of the Qing Dynasty, elegant and magnificent. The museum includes 5 sections: an exhibition house majors in introducing some famous Chinese doctors, the origin and development of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the exchange activities with other countries; a workshop where you can see the whole process of Traditional Chinese Medicine preparing; a health-care clinic; a restaurant with medicated food and a sales department. Anyone who comes here for a visit can find a lot of fun, such as, to prepare medicine with hand tools and to taste the unique medicated food etc. In the Chinese medical workshop, you may see the senior pharmacists making herbs by hand performance. In addition, you may also purchase Chinese medicine originating from many different places in the Chinese medical hall.

Tonight, we will take the chance to enjoy Impression West Lake directed by Zhang Yimo. Never heard of Zhang Yimou?Did you happen to catch the 2008 Olympics Opening Ceremony? Mr. Zhang is the one who did that little bit of coordination.

Staged entirely upon the lake itself (a stage has been built 3 centimeters below the surface), Impression West Lake is a spectacle of light, music, dance and theatrics. The story is based on a Hangzhou legend. Using the lake and its surroundings as props, lights and hundreds of actors create a sensational performance.

Day 6 - Hangzhou -> Beijing   (B, D)

Visits : Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City

This morning you will be transferred to the airport and take flight to Beijing. In the afternoon visit the Tiananmen Square, which is a must for the tourist visiting Beijing City.You will take about 1 hour to walk around in this largest square of the world.These dignified architectures and stately layout of the square make it an eye-catching place for any tourists who come to Beijing for the first time.

Next, you will tour the Forbidden City which is the imperial palace for Ming and Qing emperors for 500 years. The Third Ming Emperor YongLe moved the capital of China to Beijing in early 1400. UNESCO cited that the Imperial Palaces provide outstanding examples of the greatest palatial architectural ensembles in China.

Qianmen Street, no more than 2 km long, has been a prosperous area for more than 600 years and has accumulated some long-standing stores. Now we will walk along Qianmen street to have a look at the old of Beijing.

Mutianyu Great Wall

Today put on your hiking shoes for an excursion to the extraordinary Great Wall of China. Out in the hills, we visit the rugged and scenic Mutianyu section which better exemplifies the fine Ming dynasty era construction.You may get the cable car if needed.

This afternoon go to the Ming Tombs where 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) were buried.

It is the best representation of a tomb complex because of its fully restored complete surface structures, consisting of four bridges, a stele pavilion and halls.

You will visit the Ding Tomb (Underground Palace).

On the way returning to the city, you will have the chance to take some pictures outside of National Stadium and Water Cubic.

Tonight enjoy a breath-taking acrobatic show.

Day 8 - Beijing -> Zhengzhou   (B, L, D)

After enjoying your breakfast visit the tranquil setting of the Temple of Heaven where Emperors prayed for good harvests and the welfare of the people. The sacred and unique design of Temple of Beijing is characteristic of Ming Dynasty architecture and one of the most unique structures in Beijing. The Temple of Heaven has become a very popular meeting place for Beijing locals where they congregate to practice tai chi, dancing and singing.

For next site, we go to visit the National Grand Treatre.Situated west of the Beijing's central Tian'anmen Square,it has a huge glass and titanium dome-shaped structure surrounded by water.The new National Theater is composed of the three halls nestled inside the egg holding 6,000 people. With its modernity, it is in the strong contrast to the Stalinist-style building of the Great Hall of the People and the golden eaves of the Forbidden City.

In the afternoon you will take the rickshaw hutong tour to have a taste of the carrier and mirror of Beijing folk culture.

When strolling in the Forbidden City or the Summer Palace, you can't help imagining the life of the imperial family.

While visiting the hutongs in Beijing, you will gain a greater understanding of the common people as well as the history of the ancient yet modern Beijing.

Later on,climb up the nearby Drum Tower to view of the city, in a full 360 degrees is one of the best places to get a sense for the surrounding hutong.The drum tower was used to mark the time, with a total of 24 drums. As a tourist attraction, the tower still marks the time with drum performances by three drummers who perform every half hour.

Today go to Chen Family Village located in Jiaozuo.Chen Style Tai Chi orginated there, and so it's an interesting place to visit and study Tai Chi.Chen Jia Gou isn't a beautiful place - you wouldn't go there for a holiday, but it's okay, and it's a good environment to do a strong Tai Chi training, which is what you need in the end.The reason for coming here is really simple, the Tai Chi.If you were to compare Tai Chi to Christianity, then this would be the Jerusalem and more importantly it still contains Olympic Gold level Tai Chi, or higher.

Today go directly to Shao Lin Temple. Shao Lin Temple is reputed to be 'the Number One Temple under Heaven'. Included on UNESCO's World Heritage list in 2010, the temple is the cradle of the Chinese Zen Buddhism and the Shaolin Martial Arts such as Shaolin Cudgel. One can see wild flowers and pines on the mountain. They were inscribed under criteria i, ii and iii. The sculptures were regarded as "outstanding manifestation of human artistic creativity" that played a highly significant role in the cultural evolution of that region in Asia. The sculptures are also celebrated as the encapsulation of the high cultural attainment and sophistication of Tang Dynasty China.



Day 12 - Luoyang -> Xian   (B, L, D)

After breakfast This morning take a train to Xian. After that, go to Xian City Wall - one of the best preserved in China. After lunch step into Xi'an Great Mosque. The Great Mosque of Xi'an is a tranquil and historic mosque that has served Xi'an's Muslim community for more than a millennium. The largest and best preserved of the ancient mosques of China, its buildings are a fascinating fusion of Chinese and Arabian styles.

The next, we go to have a walk along the Muslim Street. Here is full of life with a broad range of smells, flavours lights and sounds.

After enjoying your breakfast take an excursion to see the extraordinary 2,200-year-old Terracotta Warriors of Chinese first Emperor - Qin Shihuang, discovered in 1974 by farmers while digging a well. This archaeological excavation site is a stunning exhibit of more than 7,000 ancient terracotta life -size statues of soldiers, officers, horses, chariots, and other artifacts.

After having lunch returning to the city to visit the elegant Big Goose Pagoda which has survived over a millennia of war and earthquakes.
