We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights we had booked a superior suit on the 11th floor. In a nutshell, there was nothing even remotely good about this hotel. Even though it is less than 2 years old, poor management and staff have run it down very badly. We would recommend that you give this one a miss for the following reasons. There is better value for money elsewhere.Check In: Staff were not friendly and had very little command in the English language. Luckly our transfer guide was there to help us check in. When we enquired about breakfast they repeatedly informed our guide that there was no restaurant in the hotel and we had to go outside for meals. Funnily enough, we found 2 restaurants on the premises.Porter: No one helped us with our luggauge, when we asked the porters on duty who were standing out the front of the hotel as makeshift security guards, they said they were busy - which they were clearly not. However, they did speak a little English.Rooms: Our suit was poorly decorated and was had a stuffy smell about it. We had 2 bathrooms and 3 showers which we thought at first was unessary. However, after a shower in one, the water leaked very badly. So my husband had a shower in the other, but this one also leaked - we ended up having a swimming pool in our bathroom. We complained 4 times but no one would take any notice (later our guide informed us that other tourists had the same issues and no one attended to their complaints either).Buffet Restaurent:We had all our breakfasts and one dinner at the restaurent. But was completed unsatisfied with the quality & quanity of food available to guests. There was never enough food on the buffet and food was never replaced in a timely manner to cope with the number of people. Many other tourists were fed up with waiting for food to be replenished, especially after paying for the meal. Safety:Because of the location (train station) there could be about 1000+ people in the area at any given time. There is no security on the premise and there is signs everywhere asking guests to be aware of their valuables in their rooms and that the hotel is not responsible for lost goods on premises.Spa:While it was seemingly ecconomical the facility was rank with cigarette smoke and had a dingy atmosphere. While the activities such as massage was worth your money, the staff can be discribed much like to facilities. All in all, we would never return and would not advise travelers to stay here more than one night. We had a standard suite - large bedroom, separate long with its own TV and washroom / toilette. What are we going to do with all this space? No cupboards or drawers so we laid our clothes out on the carpet. Walls are cracking behind the wallpaper and signs of water damages.4 bottles of complimentary water, and an additional bottle of Evian water was available at Y20. Here was the main problem with this hotel. A British couple claimed that there had not been a bottle of Evian in there room (housekeeping probably forgot to put it there when preparing the room). Hotel insisted that the couple pay for this water and housekeeping lied that they had taken out the empty bottle. Chinese must save face and save Y20 in a Y4000 hotel bill and accuse their guests of dishonesty. More

Generally, the hotel offer clean and spacious room. Location is beside train station and hence need to watch out for our belongings. One word of advice, if you want a good sleep please disconnect your room telephone before go to sleep, otherwise you will receive calls asking for "extra-service". I complained to the front desk staff after the second night and still received calls at the 3rd night. The last statement from hotel staff was: this is beyond their control. More

Stayed here for only 1 night, but I can assure this is a top class hotel. Our rooms were booked through are travel agent. We got a suite room, including separate seating area. Everything seemed very recent and clean. Airco functions well and bathroom was spotless. Location is good : real close to the train station and a cheap ride by taxi from the city centre. More

stayed at the hotel for 3 nights.the room was pretty ok but the carpet was little bit dirty. but overall clean.the insulation of the hotel was not quite good as we could hear tvs from other rooms. We got calls every night about 9pm asking if we required massage. we knew we would get the call very soon as we cold hear the phone riniging from the room adjacent to us. the reception could not speak english well and i could sense their apprehension whenever we approached the reception.location is excellent if you are arriving via a train as it's very close to the railway station. but it's pretty far from the bell and drum tower and the moslem street where all the attractions are. but as with rest of china, the taxi fares are very cheap, so no problems here. don't even thinking about using the hotel internet at 10 yuan / half hour as they are still using 56k modem. also, if you are after breakfast, you better wake up early as it finishes at 9am. but even with all the negatives, i found the hotel quite pleasant to stay with the money i paid. i think i paid $80 australian dollars per night.
