Ten-Thousand Buddha Pagoda (Wanfota)

Ten-Thousand Buddha Pagoda is located in the northeast of Jiaoshan Mountain. The surroundings are encircled by the special walls. It has the east and west gates as well as north and south stele corridor. The name was written by Zhao Puchu, the late Buddhism master. Concerning its architectural style, Ten-Thousand Buddha Pagoda is established with the feature of Ming and Qing dynasties. Ten-Thousand Buddha Pagoda has seven stories with the height of 42 meters. The whole pagoda has seven stories and eight sides. The upper is the heaven palace and earth palace under the ground. The whole decoration is very good. The colorful painting and carving make it very attractive. At daytime, it is like the tall pillar and at night it shows the light beam. The main gate is very traditional and the main walls are painted by the red color. And four golden big characters are written and carved on the wall, which shows the grandness of Ten-Thousand Buddha Pagoda in the ancient days. In front of the gate, there are two stone lion statues. The surroundings are all trees.
