Huishan Mountain National Forest Park

 

 

 

Huishan Mountain National Forest Park is located in the south area of downtown Wuxi city. It is 3 kilometers far from city center. In 1993, it was established with the total area of 93,333 hectares.

Huishan Mountain is the rest part of Tianmushan Mountain (it is the dividing crest of Qiantang River and Taihu Lake, and one of the ancient mountains in China, mostly it is located in Zhejiang province and known as the famous summer resort and scenic area ), and near to Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Three peaks highly standing and give the travelers the feeling of relaxation and leisure. The main peak is 328 meter high; the names of them are Toumao Peak, Emao Peak and Sanmao Peak, which also called Nine-Dragon Mountain. Thanks to its richness in springs or wells, it is famous for its thirteen springs. Huishan Mountain is highly spoken to be the First Mountain in Southern area of China.

In 1950s, there were more than 5 million trees and in 1982, more than 370,000 trees were planted again, Huishan Mountain National Forest Park has five scenic zones at present, that is Shimeng Scenic Zone, Emao-Peak Zone, Sanmao-Peak Zone and Bieshang Plant Scenic Zone. Nowadays, as the development of China’s urbanization, more people living in downtown are eager to take a rest in natural area to relax their body and mind. Such a big park will be the hot destination for them.
