. The first water-rock inYangtze River
in this garden was established in Southern Song Dynasty. The ancient Kwan-yin water rock and the Longevity Pagoda of Ming Dynasty are both welcomed among the travelers at home and abroad. Longevity Garden is near to Yangtze River. It faces the Jingjiang Levee and we can see Jingzhou Ancient City Wall too. Longevity Garden covers more than 16,000 sq. m, and the overall architectural style is following that of Ming Dynasty.Longevity Pagoda
has seven layers and eight corners with the height of 40.76m. There are 87 white marble Buddha sculptures, 102 steles and 2347 stone bas-relief with the pictures of rare animals, flowers and birds. What is more surprise, due to the gradual elevation of riverbed of Jingjiang River year after year, the bank ofJingjiang River
was also heightened. So longevity pagoda was immersed under the bank. The whole pagoda looks like a giant coming from the earth crust. Generally the Buddhists from all over the world are long for showing their sincerity and godliness here.Behind the longevity pagoda, there is a long wall with diversity of calligraphy inscriptions in different types. It seems to be marvelous ! There are also many antiques in this garden.
