Dengyun Bridge

Dengyun Bridge is also named Zhennan Bridge because it situated in the south of Luoyang Town. Dengyun Bridge in southwest over the Taishou stream is the main transportation path that goes to Taishun city and Shouning area.

The Bridge was first built in Zhengde emperor of Ming Dynasty by a county magistrate called Liutong. In Qing Dynasty, it experienced several rebuilding. In Reign of Wanli Emperor, an official Che Dengyun reconstructed it, so it was named Dengyun Bridge. It is 40 meters long, 5.4 meters in width, with a span of 24.85 meters between two holes. As the gentle flow in the stream, people built a bridge pier in it, laid two right-angle-intersection cantilever beams on the bridge piers, with the two sides at various levels to reach out. There are 14 large log beams on the cantilever beams, and 12 bridge houses on the log beams. Dengyun Bridge remains the architectural style of Ming Dynasty by the age of repair many times. In 1988, Taishun County was listed as a cultural preservation center.
