Beijian Bridge

 (北涧桥) is stacked wooden arcade bridge locating Sixi Town. It was first built in the reign of Kangxi Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, then constructed in 1803 and rebuilt in 1849. The bridge is 51.7 meters long, 5.37 meters wide, with a span of 29 meters.

The bridge across Beixi with entire reasonable structure makes itself splendid. Bridge house has gray tiles and red body, painted various birds and beasts. There are many ancient trees beside the bridge and two strands of stream mixed under the bridge. Two great old trees standing on the bridgehead hide the corridor bridges and houses. The birds and beasts painted on the bridge eaves and residential architecture house appear gleaming under the leaves. A path of gravel extended to other side of the stream. Green hill, clear water, rainbow bridge, ancient trees are embraced, which trace out a fascinating landscape.

Bridge house is also a prominent part of the work by workman. It is to say from the function that building bridge house on arch timbering makes it firmer because it boosts pressure on bridge arch and defends wind and rain.
