The Chessboard Rock and Cloud Stone are the essence of the stone scenery in

Hou Mountain

. The Chessboard Stone is named so because it is shaped like a chessboard. It is 20 m high. On the rock, there are three small stones. It is said that two divinities once had a game of chess on the rock. Cloud Stone is named so because it looks like a cloud. Yanluo Cave came into being because of the quarrying of the ancient Chinese. It has an area of more than 7000 meters. Inside the cave grow intertwined vines. And there are inner caves, stones, springs, and waterfalls in the cave. Besides natural landscape, Huo Mountain is also rich in human scenery. Gou Jian used to raise dogs and hunt deer there. And the ancestral residence of Lu You, the great patriotic poet, was in the mountain. And many celebrities from different eras visited the mountain, such as Tao Wangling, Yuan Hongdao of Ming Dynasty and Tao Chengzhang, Cai Yuanpei, Lu Xun of Chinese Modern history. There are many rock inscriptions in the mountain which were left by those who visited it and adored its beauty.
