Navy Museum

The

Qingdao Navy Museum

is established by People's Navy of China. It is the only museum that vividly conveys the development of navy in China. Located at 8 Laiyang Road, Qingdao, near the Luxun Park, it was officially opened to the general public on October 1, 1989.

The aim of opening the Navy Museum is to intensify the patriotic spirit of the Chinese people. By tour the museum, you can know more about the development in Chinese navy, especially the battle for independence of China during its modern history.

The museum has three sections, the Indoor Exhibition Hall, the Weaponry Display and the Marine Area. The indoor hall exhibits China's naval history, including more than 1,200 pictures that depict the country's ancient and modern development. It also displays a lot of armed forces uniforms, badges and emblems of the People's Navy since 1949. Moreover, there are many gifts and presents from the navies of foreign countries collected. The Weaponry Display and the Marine Area are the demonstration of China's firearms, missiles, various sizes of warships and fighter planes of different eras.
