Five-dragon Pond Scenic Spot

 

 

Five-dragon Pond Scenic Spot (五龙潭风景区) is located in Longguan Village in Ningbo City, 35 kilometers away from downtown. It has an area of 16.17 square kilometers.

The scenic spot is a mountainous tourist area which surrounded by mountains. It has complex terrains and landforms varied from the towering hills, steep cliffs to hollow valleys with strong characteristics of folk culture. You may have a sightseeing tour, spend your vacations to relieve your pressure from work, take exercises or worship Buddhism here, at least one of which will meet your demands of returning to the nature, tasting the beauty of mountain village and absorbing the unique east Zhejiang provincial culture. It has now built up a brand for its particular folk customs which are worshiping dragons and offering sacrifices to dragon ancestors of the Chinese nation.

 

The scenic spot is programmed into four functional zones, namely Exhibition Zone of Folk Customs, Sightseeing Zone of Dragon Pond, Entertainment Zone of Guanding Lake and the Recreation Zone of Longding Mountain. 

The first exploited Sightseeing Zone of Dragon Pond had been invested a large sum of RMB 18,000,000 for the primary programming. At present, the supporting service equipments have been upgraded gradually and the highways spiraling up the mountains built and the items for recreation enriched. Accompanied with the great Five-dragon Hotel which seats 200 guests for dinners, a holiday hotel accommodating visitors with guest 50 rooms is to be constructed. Apart from enjoying beautiful landscapes, you can also participate in a lot of activities such as drifting boats, having a barbecue, fishing and other amusements in the scenic area.
