Grand ceremony in Northern Song Dynasty style held in Kaifeng ancient capital site

Kaifeng was China's old capital in the Northern Song Dynasty (960 – 1127). Bao Gong's (Bao Zheng, 999 – 1062) uncompromised justice had made this city famous. A Chinese television soap opera Bao Qing Tian (包青天) in 1990s has made every Chinese knowing the legendary man of justice that must be a virtue example of being an official or a judge, or even an ordinary citizen.

Time and weather have worn out the ancient site of the Northern Song capital. However, it has been rebuilt in recent decades. Now the Kaifeng Ancient Capital has an area of four hectares. It reproduces the grandiose and fearsome of the past. Just located east of the Bao Gong Ancestral Temple, the ancient capital site has all the official halls, congress hall, courts and prisons that it had in the Northern Song Dynasty.

As a themed scenic attraction, the ancient capital site has valuable Song Dynasty architecture as well as some re-creation performances of government office's opening ceremony, Bao Gong judging cases, ceremony of receiving important guests and "Face-off after Spraying Fire". The Northern Song Dynasty culture will feast your eyes on.
