Night Tour on the Pearl River

Pearl River night tour services are provided by Guangzhou Ferry Company, night scenes are very magnificent on the river, which comprises the East River, West River and North River as branch rivers that conjoint in downtown Guangzhou. Ferry will pick you up at Xiti Ferry Pier near Renmin Road, it sails eastwards, passes Jiefang Bridge, Haizhu Bridge, Jiangwan Bridge and Guangzhou Bridge and then return. Tianzi Ferry Pier (天字码头, Heavenly Sky Ferry Pier) is the oldest pier in Guangzhou city. In the past, it was dedicated for Qing Dynasty's officials. Chinese hero Lin Zexu (林则徐) began his burning out opium mission here by taking the ferry to Tiger Gate. Dr. Sun Yat-sen was on board the ship here to begin his Northern Military Expedition to eliminate feudal warlords who were dividing Chinese land. Today, Guangzhou Ferry Company owns Tianzi Ferry Pier and provides cross Pearl River ferry services.
