Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area

Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area is located in Yongtai County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. The entire scenic area takes up an area of 47 sq km. It has many high peaks. 7 of them are higher than 1000. The highest peak has an elevation of 1130 meters. Densely covered with forests, the mountain is rich in animals and plants. In the mountain, if you are lucky enough, you may come across some rare animals or plants.

Qingyun Mountain Scenic Area has many subsidiary scenic spots. The chief attractions are Yuntian Stone Corridor, Huoyan Waterfall, Shi Ba Chong Xi Stone Forest, Tengshan Grassland, Tian Pool, Zhuangyuan Cave, and Red Army Cave, etc. Yuntian Stone Corridor is close to the mountaintop of Mount Qingyun. It is also called Heaven Corridor. It is a four-layer 300-meter-long passage resulting from rock decay. It is frightening but not really dangerous to walk on it. Tengshan Grassland is covered with large areas of grass. Hence, it is a good place for you to beat the heat. On the mountaintop of Mount Teng is Tian Pool, a pool coming into being because of a volcanic explosion. The pool is oval and covers an area of about 8,000 sq meters. Huoyan Waterfall, alas Qinglong Waterfall, is higher than 80 meters. Standing beside Qinglong Pool, you can appreciate the thunderous falling of the water and get wet all over.
