Red Revolution Scenic Area

Red Revolution Scenic Area is in Dongyang, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. The main body of the scenic area is the Red Army’s Long March Exposition Center. The center focuses on displaying the memorial materials about the Long March which was conducted by the Red Army, namely the Chinese Communist. It typically combines screen culture with the historical facts of the Long March. It takes up a total area of 5 sq km with an investment of over 0.3 billion RMB. It contains the Red Army’s Long March Theme Park, Educational Hall for Science and Technology of National Defense, and the Training Base for Youngsters.

Jin Fozhuang Martyr's Memorial Park and Shao Piaoping’s Memorial House are not far from the center. The former one was constructed in memory of Jin Fozhuang, a famous general in the Northern Expedition. The park has an area of more than 16 acres. It consists of a stone memorial archway, the martyr statue, the former residence, and the memorial house. Shao Piaoping’s Memorial House is in memory of Shao Piaoping, a famous and patriotic magazine editor. He promoted Marxism-Leninism in China with his progressive mind and rapier thrust. He was one of the initiators of the May 4th Movement in 1919. He joined the Party in 1925 and was murdered by Zhang Zuolin on April 26th, 1926. The memorial house has six exhibition halls, where 500 pieces of historical materials are displayed. The materials reveal the life story of Shao Piaoping. Among them, there are comments made by Mao Zedong.
