This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00am. Begin the tour with a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple with its priceless collection of Jade Buddha Statues from Burma.
Then you will be driven to People's Square. It occupies a large portion of the city centre. Underneath the square is the city's largest metro station and the only station to transfer between metro lines one and two. Above the ground is the .Shanghai Art Museum, the Grand Theatre, the Urban Planning Hall and the Shanghai Museum.
From a cultural and historical perspective, the highlight of the People's Square is the Shanghai Museum which is considerred one of the best museums of its kind in China. During the visit you may rent an audio phone (about USD6) for more detailed information.
During the tour you will have a chance to see the process of pearl cultivation at Fresh Water Pearl Gallery.
