Sanxingdui Ruin Site is located on the south bank of Duck River in northwest of Guanghan City in Sichuan
Province. With an area of 12 sq km and a 3000- 5000 years of history, it is the existed ancient Chengdu
City sites largest in area, longest in time and richest in culture. There are well preserved east, south and west city walls as well as the interior city wall of Moon Bay.
Sanxingdui Ruin Site is reputed as one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in human beings’ history in the 20th century. It reflects that the Yangtze River basin is also the matrix of Chinese civilization like the Yellow River basin and is honored as the “origin of Yangtze River civilization”.
Unearthed relics are precious cultural heritages of human beings that have the greatest value in art, culture, history, and science. Among the mysterious ancient Chengdu treasures are 2.62 meters’ high bronze stand man and 1.38 meters’ wide, 3.95 meters’ high bronze Sacred Tree. There are also rare treasures unseen before such as gold articles represented by golden stick and jade articles represented by Bianzhang (边璋).
